Lydia Lewis Magee joined Richardson Plowden in 2003 as an associate in the Myrtle Beach office. She focuses her practice on medical malpractice, professional malpractice, insurance defense, and products liability claims. She provides representation to a variety of clients, including hospitals, physicians, surgeons, chiropractors, dental specialists, nurses and nursing homes.

Mrs. Magee received her bachelor of arts in political science, with a minor in history, from North Carolina State University in 1995. She earned her juris doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1999, where she served on the South Carolina Environmental Law Journal.

After law school, she clerked for the Honorable Kaye G. Hearn, Chief Judge of the South Carolina Court of Appeals from 2001 to 2003. Mrs. Magee currently is a member of the South Carolina Bar, Horry County Bar Association and the South Carolina Trial Defense Attorneys' Association.
