George C. Beighley is a shareholder of Richardson Plowden in the Columbia office. He focuses his practice on medical malpractice and hospital/healthcare law. Before joining the firm, Mr. Beighley was the assistant attorney general for the State of South Carolina from 1975 to 1978.


He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1970 and earned his juris doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1975. During law school, he was a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe. Mr. Beighley also received the American Jurisprudence Award in Commercial Transactions and Domestic Relations.
